Avon ZZ3s

Just got my new wheels for my 130 sport with avon zz3's - i picked them coz i liked the tread pattern I'm not gonna lie. But also for the price and my budget, they seemed the best out of the bunch! But now i think i should be serious and find out what they're really like. Anyone got these/had these on their mk4?

I take the reviews with a pinch of salt as somebody who says they don't grip well in the wet might be driving beyond the conditions etc.

i used to run these on my fiat and i thought they were a good tyre and cheap to!

Yeah i just got my new wheels from rochford tyres, and out of the list of tyres i could have picked, these were within budget and i thought the best ones! Would have gone back to toyo's but i had them on my corolla, and i dont think they'd suit an ibiza!

had them on my bora and they were ok when heated up in dry but prone to getting punchers as they are quite soft inc the side walls but for what you pay an allright rubber choise

great tyres, had them on the front before my toyo's. work well in all weathers.

I had them on my BMW cracking tyre for the money, got Toyo's now can't really tell if there any different

Yeh i always had toyos on my corolla, but i didnt find them all that good in the wet! these were a cheaper alternative!

I've been running with these since I got my TDi, for the same reasons... good price and good allrounder, normally get them through of the tyre web sites recommended on here. They hold on well and I've never had any problems with them, my friend (RX8 owner ) and myself have been impressed with the grip the Sport Tractor had with these on compared to the cheapy nasty ones it had on when I got it.

I finished my last set off at a track day... where they performed well!

And yes they make pretty patterns in the snow!

Only issues for me are pot holes on the Kent roads and the normal Ibiza tyre wear on the inside.

Yeh potholes for me too! everywhere i go, they place themselves under my wheels without my seeing them til its too late! i'm glad i picked these tho, i'll find out sunday how good they are!
