So I have finally decided to remap my 1.9TDi and after some research have come up with the following 3 companies.

I have spoken to both Awesome GTi and P-Torque but not the other.

Awesome quoted me £150 + £66 for a Rolling Road with approx figures: 140-145BHP, 290Nm (215Ib/ft), approx 5mpg increase.

P-Torque quoted me £295 +VAT inc Rolling road with approx figures: 140BHP, 240Ib/ft, approx 5mpg increase

Midland Remaps say £179 mobile remap service with approx figures: 137BHP, 312Nm (230Ib/ft), prob 5mpg increase (extracted from their website)

So this is what I have collected and dont mind travelling to Manchester to get it done but who would be the most recommended guys and peoples experiences with these companies even though I have heard alot of good things about Awesome GTi and P-Torque?

Thanks Guys

The price of £295.00 is all in... including VAT and dyno power runs/log check :)

S.H.A.RK or Darkside Developments for me

Darkside are TDI masters

Thanks for the suggestion guys but I have decided to keep it between either P-Torque or Awesome. Read up about R Tech though and they have some good knowledge and experience. Out of S H A R K and Darkside, Darkside faired better to me.

But out of the 2 stated in the first post???

Why are you narrowing it down to them 2 and not taking the advice of other diesel owners? Id also recommend taking it to Darkside, as in terms of knowledge and undertanding of these engines, they're leaps and bounds ahead of any of the above mentioned tuners. To dismiss them as an option seems daft. There prices are comparable to the others as well.

Hmmm. Will get onto the phone with them to see what they can do for me. It can be an option but depends on what day they would be able to fit me in etc

Hi MasterKM,

I'd also consider Will at P-Torque. He's on your doorstep too! I've just been down to him to have my 335D mapped. Only to find it had been mapped already! (I thought it was quick :p) He point blank refused to take any cash off me as he said I may gain 10BHP and it was already kicking out about 500 lb-ft torque which is the maximum the Gear Box can take. Even though he spend a good hour on it. He also did a full Diagnosis on it too. I've been to see him twice now, and have found him to be brilliant on both occasions. And I will be taking my Cupra in the next few weeks for Stage 2+ mapping by him. Also consider, he tunes cars for professional racing teams too! So he is very highly regarded.

Ken

335d are such a dream to drive [B)], I would go with
p-torque just on distance and merit.

I have 3 weeks to decide before I go on holiday so will update when its done etc.

I am not looking to take the car to its extreme but something with a little more power and smooth delivery with additional mpg.

They are mate. My commute to work is mainly down single lane country roads and its pot hole city! It was no fun driving back and too there in the Cupra.
