Well I've decided to try polishing my spare inlet manifold.

Not in a rush so will just see how it goes but fingers crossed :)

Well with various family members in different hospitals across the country I've been doing a lot of miles the last few days.

I got a far as getting some 800 grit paper in the inlet mani, still a long way to go though.

On my travels somewhere between Hereford and Cardiff, near Brecon I think I stopped for a snap, excuse the dirt she's covered a lot of miles on country lanes!

I went into work a couple of hours early to carry on the manifold. Made very good progress, finally coming together now. I'll spend a couple more hours on it and it'll be ready for fitting. :)

Had a day off today so got cracking with the many jobs id left half finished.

Had a very productive day all in all. :)

I got my S3 front strut brace fitted, although I neglected to trim enough off do the bonnet lifter fouled and wouldn't let the bonnet shut. The lifters now in the boot

I fitted a new thermostat (needed doing for months)

Got the battery terminal clamps on tha cables for the battery relocation.

Gave it a much needed clean :)

Took out the rear strut brace as it was utter sh*te!

Also picked up an inlet manifold gasket and oil filter :)

I'm now off over to Tims to grab a couple of bits.

I dare say I'll have a peak at the S3 too.

Well I havnt updated this for quite a while.

With the misses being inbetween jobs its been hard times but were all on the up :)

Ive been stock piling parts to be fitted and now have the full front end of an S3 sat in the garden, just waiting on a few little bits and bobs to fit it all.

Today I ordered up the piping for the catch can and the battery cable for the relocation so that'll all be on and running by the end of the week.

In the meantime Ive been enjoying driving it and giving it the occasional clean.

Todays post finally arrived and in it was my new battery cable and piping for the catch can so I set to work fitting it all.

And the final result.

The cars working, I had used 4AWG automotive cable but the car wouldnt turn over, I tried a heavier duty battery and that didnt help. Tested the earths etc and still nothing. After some advice and picking away at Ronin225's technical knowledge I decided to bite the bullet and buy another cable. Ordered some 35mm"2 cable.
That got run today and the car fired up first time, many thanks to Tim for all the help.

With the weather how it is I'm glad to have my covered parking...however gay Tim says it is haha!

When I fitted my battery tray, being the clever **** I am I fitted it round the wrong way so was having problems getting the retainer strap to fit. So today I've taken the box out and re-fitted it the correct way :)
Looks better and actually does the job lol

With my tools accumulating at a rate of knots they're over flowing in the current tool box and being scattered everywhere so I picked up a cheeky tool box.

I'm collecting some new mirror caps from Tom at UltimateAuto this evening, I've also got 4 new centre caps on order for when my wheels are done and finally, I've got some new bolt covers to match the wheels and centre caps :)

I went and collected my mirror covers this evening, unfortunately the passenger side was incorrect so that'll be here in a couple of days.
