yo, so ive got a 60plate boc,

and the battery is in the boot under the spare wheel?!

i thought the battery was sposd to be in front?!

copey. cheers i didn't realise i could search,

now if anyone has a sensible reason why seat moved the battery from front to back?! car registered on 24/01/2011 on a 60 plate.!?

As explained above mate was due to weight distrubution, its better as gives you more room under the hood aswell, the ITG kit got re-designed slighty when this happened due to the extra room.

i kknow the reasons why its in the boot i just wondered why seat would change the cars design on a 60plate.!

Manufacturers allways change things on cars, alot of it you wouldnt even notice, as for why SEAT did it at tha specific time i do not know.

fair enough,

btw how does a mk5 cupra compare to a 225? i want an R26R as a next car i think.

think its because they got rid of the spare wheel from the boot and replaced with a can, thus removing a good 20kg which does make it a little tail happy. Battery in boot makes it better and there was sweet FA room up front before.

mines a 60 plate but is the first run of 2011 cars. So battery in the boot for me. So far its behaving nicely.

there is sooo much space in the bay! gunna design my own airfilter/ram air system. ;) [] watch that space.

Pace wise there isnt a huge amount in it until top end, but everything else about the megane is better, handling, brakes, grip.

The R26 is pretty decent, id be looking at a 250 for more of an upgrade.

Ive been looking at custom air intakes also, ive got an idea but would need the internal measurements first.

I have 61 plate with battery in boot and also a spare wheel in boot

Battery was moved for weight distribution and to make working in engine bay easier iirc.

I have spare and battery in the boot.
