Beats Audio is an alternative option to Standard/Seat Sound in other countries ie Germany. An up to date version of EKTA might show the different part numbers between the systems; however, from my experience of the Canton system in a Skoda, some of the parts are only available from the factory and not via TPS / dealers etc.
Buy a VW poloThat's insane, so if a speaker or the amp fails you can't replace it? Loom fair enough, but hoping that's common to the seat sound system
Thank you, guess that's off the cards then!Seat Sound System and Beats are completely different. SSS uses the amp in the nav unit in the glove compartment. Beats uses a separate amp under the seat. Its connected to the unit in the glove compartment with an optical cable.
Will be a hell of a job to place the Beats amp and to wire it up with the optical cable and the speaker wires.

Based on info on the german Seat forum, these should be the different part numbers:

What kind of money would it require then? I think the amplifier costs around 350 euros on ebay. The speakers I can get for around 100 euro.I do fancy a retrofit (i've already done SSS) but for the kind of money that Beats would require I would definately go for an aftermarket upgrade. Less fuss, better quality.
