I have a Cupra ST 300 with Beats (rather than Seat Sound) with the subwoofer in the boot. Stupid question, but should I hear the bass from the subwoofer when I open the boot (and lift the floor)? The reason I ask is that I'm beginning to think it's not even on/working. When I adjust the Subwoofer slider on the options menu it seems to make zero difference to the base/sound. Anyone else advise or has similar issues?

Some tips in this thread...

Not least of which is that the subwoofer slider only works with the engine running for some obscure reason.

I think the reason for that would be that the Beats subwoofer is amplified and the Seat Sound system one runs of the headunit.
This means that the Seat Soundsystem one is always being driven as long as the headunit is on and the Beats one probably has an amp that only drives when the engine is on to avoid draining battery.
I had a retrofitted sub in my Saab that only ran when the engine was on.

All the factory ones should be active-subwoofers, so im pretty shure they are all amplified.

Did a test today. Cupra R 310, BeatsAudio.

Unlocked the car, turned radio on (no ignition). Opened boot door, one hand on the floor. Sub vibrations detected.
It works without engine on. Equalizer settings also were the adjusted I use to have, no difference from when engine is on.
