Hi,

Just fitted my smoothed and drilled airbox and now looking to get a panel filter.

Which one is the best to give the car a bit more of a growl?

Thanks

3 or 4 people have said green cotton to me. that or piperx.

like your engine bay by the way. looks like mine in a few months!!

Cheers, glad you like it. Can't comment on the Piperx but I do know that Green Cotton filters are kind to the MAF as they're not overly oily. I was told to stay clear of K&N for this very reason but there's plenty of people on here that have had no problems.

yeah before the torrents of filter related arguments begin... this question has come up many times before and 70-80% said green cotton. the rest were all k&n, etc etc etc

alot of people say pipercross or green cottom mate thats the 2 i would have chose oput of if i didnt get the open cone that sits down by the wheel arch

Another vote for Jetex here - a nice snug fit and not overly oily. Don't know why they don't get mentioned more to be honest? Everyone just seems to go for Green!

i usin K&N they are oiley but after yoiu service it yourself dont put too much oil on it and its fine.
heard a lot of good things about the green ones.
i went to smooth my airbox, but when i went and opened it, there was nothing to smooth WTF  it hasnt been done before as there are no signs of existing plastic. just one smooth box.

Jetex seem to be the most popular filter on the Briskoda forum and the people who have tried both seem to find the Jetex a better fit for the airbox.

Would be interesting to see if there is a difference in the part numbers.

has anyone had both green AND jetex at some time? would be interested to see your opinion as i tend to find jetex much cheaper
