We take for granted as our garage never tells us what brand they use. Recently my mate said Bosch ones aren't as good as they used to be and NGK are the best with Denso coming in at 2nd.
Since the manual says plugs should only get replaced every 40k miles, which brand do people use?
I agree with Rum. Years ago I wouldn't have gone for anything other than Champion, but now it's got to be NGK in everything - Watch out for counterfeits if you're buying on line though. I buy either from my trusted local Factor (SRS) who is now part of Group Auto/NAPA and most unlikely to fall victim of the counterfeiters or a couple of online suppliers who I've been buying from for years and thoroughly trust.
I had NGK Bkr7ie's in my Bocanegra on reading suggestions in old threads on here and other forums, for what ever reason my engine didn't like them and when I had it remapped it was down on stock power with them in.
I switched to Denso skj20 A8's after reading and gaining more upto date information
It's since been through another remap and has not missed a beat since.
Denso's for me.
Thanks guys! I ordered some NGK from Eurocarparts £19 not too bad. But Denso was only £12. So it's Bosch no good? I thought they were good brand but my mechanic say no good?

Bosch is possibly okay, but for something that will be staying in the car for 4 years and many miles and might affect your MPG and even emissions, I'll still stick with NGK.
I used Bosch on old Ford vans, nice and cheap from Asda in the day and did the job and I couldn't justify buying Ford plugs Autolite maybe.
