Got H&R springs at the moment but want to improve on handling and go a little lower, was thinking maybe the weitec hicon gt coilovers, but what else should i go for, bushes,ARB'S etc etc?

Cheers for any help! :)

As far as arb's go I have the R32 23mm front and whiteline 24mm adjustable rear and love them, hold you to the road really nicely

I have the R32 23mm front as well but the 25mm Nuespeed rear, the Wietec's are very good, as are AP that should give you a good handling car, then you could go to the next level with front upper and lower strut brace and rear strut brace then finish off by Polly bushing the wish bones, steering rack and rear subframe then its excellent.

ARBs will make the car roll a lot less and with the right combination reduce the under steer as well.

Bushes are a good thing to do as well and will tighten everything up and reduce play.

Id go with coilovers, plain and simple.

Springs will give you your drop, but if used in conjuction with older shock absorbers, the car will bounce all over the road, and because the shocks are now working at a different height the seals soon give in and they burst.

Springs and shocks kit, more expensive, doesnt bounce all over the road, but dependant on what kit you either get a bone shaking ride, or a sloppy one, and a lot of the time with spring/shock kits as with just springs, you end up with the front lower than the back, and vice versa.

I spent £200 on my last car, on springs, then i bought gas shocks, before fitting coilovers and wondered why i didnt go coilovers first.

The leon i bought is lowered and i only realised last week the reason for the perfect even drop and comfortable ride is because its on adjustable coilovers, you can set the height perfect, and the damping to how you want it, best of both worlds.
