05 Cupra TDI. I was wondering if anyone had updated there springs and dampers for better ride quality, roads where I live are poor and its starting to get on my nerves.
Dont want to change the car as am more than happy with every other aspect.
Not really interested in lowering just want to improve the ride.

The best way would be to get some new tyres with a larger sidewall or higher profile. Some say that coilovers have a better ride but I can't comment on that myself.

Depends what you call fat tyres really. IMO going from 40 profile to 45 or maybe 50 would give a way better ride and fill the arches more. Lets be honest 40 profile is pretty skinny.

i agree with you there my old car had 195s and was lowered it had poor ride comfort, now i have cupra and 205s theres no difference acsept its more comfy due to better car, although next tyre change i will consider 45 profile just to protect the wheels more than anything as ride comfort isnt much of an issue for me. what they like in the wet aimez?

Aimez, once I put my KW variant 2s on the ride improved. It's now a lot less crashy than with the standard suspension .. it's never going to be classed as relaxing and comfortable though. For better ride you're going to have to lose some handling.

Goodyear Eagle F1s the ride is no worse by the way with 17s and these tyres than is was on 16 with Michelin Pilot Primacys

eagle f1s improved my ride and road noise over the standard tyres imo.
