I was thinking about getting my wheels refurbished and while I’m there getting them sprayed gloss black…. What do you think????;)

Not sure what it would look like. Has anyone seen or have a Black LCR with Black alloys??? If so has anyone got any pics??

Cheers,

Yep, there is another guy I sometimes see around Bristol with them (well they are dark grey). I like them.

gun metal gray works well see minehttp://www.seatcupra.net/forums/showthread.php?t=187711

I have a black Lcr and thinking about refurbing too. But not sure if black would be too black overall. I was thinking gun metal/dark grey would be better. Each to their own though.
If you're going for the stealth look i.e. smoked lights, blackened windows etc then it would look good.

I remember someone asking this question a while ago, there was a picture someone posted but the wheels looked really small when they were black. To be honest i didn't think it looked very good either

Go anthracite. Not too dark, but gives an awsome stelth effect. I have anthracite superT's on my black cupra and i love em! All solid black would look a bit OTT imo.

if u search black wheels there is one called black wheels on a cupra r and the fourth post has totally black wheels. would have added a link but doing this through my ps3.
Paul the wheels look nice mate it makes actual spokes stand out more

If you get gun-metel ( click my sig ) you hardly have to clean them as brake dust just makes em look dull not dirty ( lazy mans option )

each to there own i had mine done in super hi power silver with a sparkle glint!
my mates say my wheels look like 20 when i crusie down the highstreet!!!!

i wouldnt go for black if i did the wheels again,i have seen white on a lcr and they looked good, and light gold looked nice

if you want the 18s to look small go darker in colour
if you want a bigger look illusion then go lighter or whiter

hope this helps..........

I was thinking this just the other day, about black on black for my pre facelift cupra

need new wheels next year to house the larger brakes, not sure if it will look right or totally wrong!

I recall the post about this a few months ago as well, as I was thinking of doing this with my lcr as well, but on the pics then it looked pretty poor, decided against it.
