Good morning guys.
Newbie question. just picked up my Formentor V2 (1.5) and the blind spot lights in the doors are not lighting up.
I have read the manual and looked at the Assists screen but cannot find it to make sure it is active.
Also tried the Assist screen via the steering wheel and the box is ticked, but no yellow light when somebody overtakes me.
Can anybody point my in the right direction please, spoken to dealer and he just advised to call in so would rather sort it myself if possible.
Thanks Peter

Haven't got mine yet, picking it up next week, but I didn't think the V2 had the blind spot monitoring.

As I'm getting a V2 will be happy if I'm wrong

Hi Peter,

From the brochure I don't believe the V1 or V2 come with Blind Spot as standard.

It seems that you need to spec the Safety and Driving Pack XL which is only available in conjunction with the DSG gearbox. The option costs £575.

Have you got the XL option?

Alex

Thanks for the reply all, appreciate the help.
I did get the DSG gearbox with the car if this makes a difference and I therefore I though I got it as part of the option but might be wrong.
Let me know please, I think I do not have it as I cannot find it mentioned on the assist menus etc.

I don't think you do have it. It was available as a £575 option for the V2 if you had the DSG box.

Unfortunately the blind spot warning isn’t standard on the V2 like others have said. I have a V2 on order and I added the Safety and Driving Pack XL option as it was a feature I wanted.

OK thanks for the help all. appreciate the help as always.
I least I got the powered tailgate.
You are on of the lucky ones! 😂 I don’t expect there to be many V2’s with the electric tailgate!

Cupra had to build me my V2 as a one off so that it had the electric tailgate and virtual pedal as I placed by order before they changed the specification, however the build in the system didn’t include the electric tailgate!

I’ve got the 1.5 dsg v2 and can confirm it doesn’t have blind spot monitoring, would have thought it should have purely from a safety point of view,,mine has the electric tail gate also, have owned the vehicle from 1st march

Are the cameras/sensors under the wing mirror for blind spot monitor? Or are they part of the Top View (360 degree) camera that’s available in the European market and the feature just deactivated for UK spec vehicles...?

If they’re nothing to do with surround camera then where are those cameras located instead, out of curiosity?

They are built into the rear bumper!

About 2 to 3ft from the floor in the rear bumper (number 3).

Ahh it’s the blind spot monitor you’re referring to, thought you meant the location of the camera for those cars that have it.

Pretty sure what your looking at under the mirror is your cupra welcome light that shines the logo on the floor during hours of darkness when unlcocked etc

That makes sense now you mention it!

That's your puddle light, the area view cameras are mounted under the mirror closer to the base

The radars for the blind spot assist aren't fastened to the bumper itself. There's brackets on the shell of the car behind the rear bumper
