hey everyone first thread!

i recently bought a 2001 seat ibiza cupra. yestorday i cleaned my dash and the surface seems to have lifted leaving it all blotchy. just wondering if anyone has had this problem and if any one knows what would be best to use to get it looking good again?

thanks paddy

yh, think thats what it was. kinda gutted about it. any sugestions?

To be honest, if it's chemical damage it's probly not much you can do? Good excuse to get it flocked or buy a new one!

heat it up with a hair dryer and see if that brings the colour back. I know heat work on exterior rubbers and plastics. Nothing to loose by having a try

yh thanks for the tips, ill give that a try today. it would be alot of hassel to take it out and put a new one in wouldnt it. Even if i could find something that would staine it darker

i used some autoglym stuff. yeah theres a grey colour under the darker colour you see. ill take some pics of it when i can.

it was just called autoglym interior cleaner, for plastics. and nope just some dash wipes but i have used them plenty of times before. someone told me to use back to black bumper stuff to see if it would darken it up abit.

i dont think so, is the dash in the cupras not usually black? its just above the glovebox on the passanger side.

Pic is needed TBH for any helpful tips.

I wouldn't expect any autoglym products to be too rough but could have reacted with something applied to the dash previously.

I hate it when my dash isn't clean. It's just so annoying to look at. Maybe I have an OCD lol

haha, no thats defently not whats happend. i have pics of it ill put some up when i can.
