I have a blowing sound from exhaust but can't figure out where it's coming from lookedunderneath seems fine you can hear it in the engine bay. Like seems to be loudest over top of engine bay any ideas?

Can't get access ramps but will get it on axle stands and have a looks cheers mate

Could also be the flexi section in the downpipe, the noise from the leak can travel back up the tunnel and sound loud in the engine bay.

Otherwise as DerbyForget says, check the manifold. :)

See I thought it may have been that, would that require full new manifold.? Or can ingot then flex section?

a good exhaust specialist can replace the flexi piece in an exhaust. if your exhaust is damaged in anyway, check your engine mounts ASAP - you would probably find 1 or more of them are split... as this is usually the cause of exhaust damage 9 times out of 10

From what I can make out the 1.6 engines have the manifold as a separate section to the flexi part (which is directly in the next section) so if the flexi has blown a decent exhaust place or garage should be able to weld in a new flexi part.

Without finding where the leak is its hard to say what to take off first! But definitely take the time to search for it - if you start the car from cold (so the exhaust is also cold) you can put your hand near the exhaust joints to see if you can feel the leak. Obviously you don't get much time before the exhaust gets rather hot ;)
