Bluefin Reset Query

Hi guys,

Can anyone tell me if the Bluefin units all have the same spec as standard (before software is installed) or whether the plugs vary by car manufacturer? I.e. could a unit used on a Focus be reset for the Leon FR TDI?

Also has anyone had a used unit reset and if so what did it cost?

I'm sure the connectors vary, my original Bluefin for the FOcus was replaced with somehting different for the Golf that followed it. Prices to reset ... I think i paid £200 ish for mine to be reset from the A3 to the Cupra, but it was less when i had the Golfs reset for the A3 - yes i've used it 4 times !!! Email superchips you will get an answer by the end of the day.

I've had confirmation from Superchips that the OBD connector plug is standard across all cars.
No confirmation on reset price yet as SteveTDCI thought it varies dependent on original installed map.

Mine was reset free of charge as I have only had the unit a few months.

They will do this for the first 12 months, didn't have to send it away either.

They did something their end so that when I plugged the unit into my pc it just wiped it clean and I could start fresh.

I thought you could only have the device reset to the cars it listed on the side of the box,

Depends on how long you have had it if you have to pay or not to get it reset

Mine was originally bought for my Golf, the Leon was listed on the box so this makes sense.
