Is it possible to stream audio from my phone or ipod to my car (facelift 60 plate non sat nav).

Or has anyone used something or got a good head unit to stream bluetooth audi.

Can't be doing with millions of metres of cables everywhere.

Thanks

Ben

Can you connect your phone to your head unit via Bluetooth? If y9u can, then you should be able to mate. Have you got a Media button on the head unit?

If its the non sat nav unit then I dont think you can.

You can pick up decent enough aftermarket head units with built in bluetooth for less than £100 now, so that may be worth looking into.

I can connect my phone to my car to call people, its the RNS310 I think, looks like it anyway, I've had a look on the internet and it seems that you can so I'll go and check in a minute in the setup on the radio.
Apparently it is on the settings as 'BT-Audio'.

Thanks anyway people I'll go and have a look in a min.

If you can connect your phone then yes you can, its in the settings, you will also need to change the setting on the phone as well so that the streaming is done via Bluetooth.

The bluetooth module may need recoding with VCDS to enable audio streaming.

It was (still is?) a longstanding policy across the VAG group to charge extra for a premium bluetooth setup that included audio streaming. Most BT modules support audio streaming but it isn't always activated.
