Will this give anything else, than alot more noise? Better response? bhp gain? I reckon the kit for the cupra r is Sp-012.

Best regards, Thomas

I had a rolling road done before and one done after this kit fitted.
At the same time I had a eliminator forge Dump valve and forge hoses fitted including TIP. From the RR I went from 218 BHP to 230 BHP. This was on different RR so not too much of a conclusion there!!
Sounds good and can hear the DV better, that was until exhaust was fitted.
Not too sure of the part number. If its a LCR you have then it needs to be the 80 mm one.
Hope this helps

Thansk for the info. I'm most interested in the sound, I dont want it to noisy. If it increase the bhp/nm, it's okay with me )

Thumbs up from me as well. At low revs with a cold engine it does 'growl' a bit, but you get a nice whooshing sound once you get going, but not as loud as a blow off valve though. I reckon it's reduced the lag a bit as well with the better airflow. BHP and torque, wouldn't say significantly noticeable, but no RR in Jersey to tell!!!

A few people have had a lot of trouble fitting the CDASP-12, it's 260mm in length which is too long for the LCR.

The kit you need for the LCR is the CDASP-09 which is 200mm in length and will fit just fine. ;)

Ok, seems like it's a hit.

But can any of you guys tell where to find it in UK? (Willing to ship to denmark)
In denmark the CDA SP-02 will set me back 400-450 EURO!...jesus..for a filter...

the sp 12 is not the wrong kit it's originally designed for higher performance cars like super cars but was redesigned to suit the LCR but it is a little tight but does stillfit if you cut the tip down a little. Although the sp 09 does still work and has been proven to work
As for the apollo thy do not make one that fits the LCR only the LC even though they have advertised on, i have had it confirmed from there technical department that it does not work.

It does not work? Somehow I don't think so, the Apollo is rated to 350bhp so it would work on ANY Leon up to that power, the K&N Apollo is used in the VW Racing Cup so yeah - it'll work.

well when i came to fit it to my LCR it originally didn't fit de to the silicone hose supplied not being big enought to fit over the maf but onc i had fitted it it threw up loads of problems and when i quized K&N the opologised and said thats cos it was designed for the 180 LC but not the 225 LCR but if i could get my car to them they would develop one for it free of charge.

How can the Apollo not work? And I stick by the fact that the CDASP-12 is the wrong kit for the LCR. You want the one designed to fit on the 210/225 20vt engine.

Which is the CDA-SP02 which is for S3, TT, and LCR. It bolts to the standard maf and fits perfectly.

Well all i can say is that i got one sent to me by K&N direct as they claimed some inpressive BHP increases of around 17bhp socame to fit it andit could not fit as supplied, simple as but i did get it to fit but it then instantly threw up errors and went into limp mode.
After asking K&N about it they then told me they do not actually make one that will work for the 225 and the TT one does NOT work!
Now if they are not willing/ able to say it will work i am not willing to pay to get something that will have no warrenty or garentee
But they are willing to develop one

If it fits the maf and allows air flow and you can close the bonet while its on then it fits!
As RobDon says, if its rated for enough airflow and it fits the maf then its fine!
