Here is my situation, my car is a 2011 with 20,000km I have done all the services, etc.
For the last 6 months my boc has giving me problems with the DSG, regardless of the annoying rathle and click sound when downshifting. The problem is that randomly when I start the car sometimes there isn't a gear selected and I can't get out of parking, or simply the P is flashing and let me change but nothing happens just the D or S keeps flashing. The solution so far I have found is start and off the switch until the error is gone, the go to the dealer.
With the scanner the error appear as a FAULT ON GEAR STICK or CANT FIND THE GEAR STICK, so far it has been 3 times in the dealer and nearly 2 months parking there due to the lack of the replacement parts. The first time they replaced the MECATRONIC UNIT, the second time replaced the CENTRAL CPU (not the ecu). Now it has the same fault and they really don't know what to do. Even the technicians from the VW/SEAT plant have come to look the car, they even decide to do the last replacement.
All this seems to me that the car had a problem from the factory, and what really worries me is that once the warranty is over the problem will continue to show. What I want is that Seat be responsible for the bad product they sell me, and either replace the whole gearbox plus the electronic systems around the DSG system, or give me a new car, I don't mind if its a demo car. Additionally the extended warranty free.
What do you suggest I should do? and what may be the real problem?
