Went to inspect my condensation problem this morning which has cleared up! and noticed that some idiot has opened a door into my rear end of the drivers side of car. Great, will need to be repaired as well before the rust kicks in. Just want you want at this time of the year!

Took it to a body shop who has done work on my car before and he just quoted me £200+VAt. (for the dent & a deep stone chip on my front bumper)

He said he said because the dent is on the edge of the rear panel near the drivers door he would need to repaint parts of both panels and re lacquer or something. Seems a bit much to me.

One mobile repair centre quoted me £105 +vat and I am currently waiting for chipsaway to get back to me.

Went to me local dealership (Ted Johnsons) last month with mine. Someone opened a car door into my passenger door hard enough to crack the paint and left a dent about 2 inches from the edge.

They quoted me £80 to repair the dent and repaint it as they said they had someone good enough so they didn't need to repaint the whole panel. Thought it was a bit steep at the time but after what others have said think I might be going back to them.

Good luck in getting yours sorted and hope the bar stewards get their heads damaged

They re-paint the panels to blend it in mate.. IMO it's not to do with skills...

I'd rather pay that bit more and get it all blended than have a patch work... not sayin that yours is that way, but I know of a very nice car that has a patch here and there if you look at it in the right lights.. and it's bloody annoying... cause of that were getting it sprayed up...

Altho 200 is step... I can get a bonnet done for 200 plus debadding it on a Punto.. and I paid £250 to get a dent removed and blended on the wheel arch, rear quater and back bump...

I dont mind paying the extra to get a good job, I would prefer it to blend in, than have the patch work paint show up a few months later. Its just happened at wrong time of year all the money I have needs to be spent on alcohol, food and oh yes, presents!

Looks like ill be going for the full panel work, but likely to be in the new year. Will have to get the T-Cut out for the time being!
