Nightmare! Its peeling on the roof! Anyone had this or know the best way to resolve?

What do you reckon to a yellow cupra with a black roof? Simple fix with black vinyl.....

i just cant imagine a yellow car with a black/vinyl roof at all........its like going back in time and having a capri or something, have it resprayed in ovni....

Yeah my laquer has been pealing under the rear light since i bought it in 2003. I had a quote from Chips-a-way about a year ago to sort it and it was quite reasonanble...about £100 i think but i never got round to it as it isn't getting any worse....i just avoid jet-washers!

well he is right i never look at my roof too only when im polishing it

ive got a small dent on my roof in the middle at the front, and my eyes are always drawn to it because i know its there

not only will it look a bit odd with a black roof, the resale value will be determined by this also.

Sorry to bring up an old thread, but my bonnet has just started to peel. Huge patches are coming off - it just had a few stone chips two days ago.
Is respraying the only solution?

Will be matey. To get the layers flat again it will have to be rubbed down, which rules out just re-laquering it.

utter shite lacquer from seat. ovni on mine also.

Mine too on roof, had it resprayed and now passenger door is starting to peel. Very annoying indeed.

Mines ovni too. Just happened one day to the next.
As matt says tho, I am concerned aboout getting one panel done and then the next going and need doing and then being a slightly different shade.
Just seems such a lot to get it totally resprayed.
So annoying; just as I was planning for new wheels and brembo's.
