Slighty gutted after reading this thread, wanted to buy one and thought you could just leave it on all the time but now im not so sure i will venture down that road.
As for your paintwork, id try some G3 compound on it then give it a polish.

even if it was safe to leave it on all the time I wouldn't. Think about it, the bit of paint you're covering is getting no exposure to the sun. So the rest around it will fade a lot more

Had a similar experience/nightmare with mine over the weekend. It's normally left on all week but the car is garaged. On one occasion I left it out for two days in the wet but washed it the following weekend and all looked fine.

Took mine off to wash the car again on Sunday and have got a few blotchy patches that don't want to polish out by hand - tried AutoGlym Super Resin, T-Cut (!), Megs Scratch-X and even 3M cutting paste but no luck yet. I reckon a machine polish may sort it though although mine's getting a full respray at some point anyway.

For anyone currently running these just be careful

Really pointless things in my opinion. Protect the first foot of the bonnet from stone chips , but leave the bumper and rest of the bonnet exposed ? Not worth it imo especially when its done that to the paint :(

Apparently autobra reckon it's something to do with the paint work, they told me my bonnet has been resprayed and not finished properly and the havent even seen pics yet!!!

That's encouraging. As per above I've tried several hits of AutoGlym SRP, T-Cut and even 3M cutting paste straight after Id taken the bra off and washed it but maybe I'll give it another few hits now it's been off a week

have you tried a buffer on it yet. i remember my mates cupra was looking tired so i buffed the whole things and it did come up nice. if you are really worried about it then try some 2000grit sandpaper wet with loads of saop and then buff it after wards. dont go too hard or you will go through th paint. and also keep the buffer cool and moving

you crazy thinking 2000grit will work on body parts. i polish alloys and that takes up metal mate. if you were to use something higher i would recommend but not 2k grit.
