Bonnet rattle

Hi all,

I have noticed that the bonnet is rattling on my Leon 20v SE when on a bumpy road or when going over a spped hump. I remember having this problem before but got it fixed under warranty (car now outside of warranty period). It seems that there is bit of (down) movement in the bonnet when in its closed position i.e when you apply pressure to the bonnet near the bonnet release mechanism you can mimic the rattle.

Any ideas how to fix this?

Isn't there a adjustment for the catch mechanism (could be wrong)?

Not sure. I have played around with the bonnet rubbers but made no difference.

Take the centre grille out mate, loosen the catch bolts and move it down a fraction.

Extending the rubber adjusters on the bonnet might help to.
