Boost cutting out

Hey guys,

New to the forum so try and be nice haha! I have a mk3 Ibiza 1.8t and there's a problem in 4th and 5th gear with the boost, if I'm giving it some welly the boost will cut out instantly then if I change gear or lay off the throttle and go back on it it'll come back and may or may not so It again? Any suggestions as to what it could be would be very much appreciated! Details about the car if it makes any difference mod wise are forge fmic, milltek cat back, AMD remap was told around 220bhp ish, induction kit not sure what make, forge hard pipes, and I think that's it engine wise!

Im having the exact same problem with my FR, seems like its kicking into idle mode in 5th and 6th n particulatlrly bad up hill.
Seat master mechanic couldnt tell me why it was cutting out as i have an aftermarket turbo n it has been remapped (not by me) i think it has something to do with the cars computer detecting over boost and kicking the turbo off to prevent damage to the engine but it was working grand for a year before so no idea why it just stopped recently.
Going to a turbo specialist next week n if i get an answer ill revisit the thread

I've been to a few people now and nobody can tell me what it is apart from a soft limp mode to save the engine/turbo like you said. Any information would be really appreciated mate thank you!

Is the ECU holding any fault codes that might give you anything to go on?

Slipped my mind to get back to this but said id be back
Sooo the dpf in my car had been removed, the issue with mine was the actuator in the turbo and the veins were clogged. Guy sorted it for me in a day n cost like £300.
Working better than ever now! If you havnt already sorted yours hope this helps.

sounds very much like a dodgy n75 valve to me, just had this on my lcr and a new one sorted it out
