Boost Guages etc.

Hi there,

Does anyone happen to know how to wire up a boost gauge? Obviously I would need to tap it into somewhere on the intercooler pipes but how is it powered etc..?

With regards to other gauges, what do people go for? I've seen oil pressure etc... but not sure how useful it would be amongst other things?

What branding would people go for in terms of picking and choosing gauges? I want them to replace my two heater vents and I want red lighting ones :).

Thanks guys :).

Certainly look good :). Does the oil temp gauge just essentially do the same as the one that is in the car?

So with yours, will it only be on if sidelight/dipped beam is on? Wouldn't even know where to begin on wiring haha.

I have a slight issue with mine. I wired them both Into each other then into the loom (loads of threads on wiring) however the boost gauge works fine when switching ignition on however the oil temp doesn't always hold a constant live source and sometimes when I hit a bump they cut out but think that is dodgy wiring on my part.

I wired mine into the light switch too.
Red wire from the gauge into the black/grey wire of the light switch,
and the yellow of the gauge into the red wire from what I can remember.
I also have an orange dimmer wire but it's hassle trying to get to the interior dimmer wiring!

I just fitted some into my brother's R wired them both to the dimmer switch so they could be adjusted. Also fitted a resistor to them as they were still far too bright, looked like headlights in your face at night but all sorted now.
