boost pipe silencer

Hello,has anyone removed the silencer out of the alloy boost pipe,the one that runs from the turbo to the first intercooler? I had this pipe off the other day,as im chasing a boost leak,and noticed the silencer in the end.Im sure its got to be worth a few bhp!!

I'v got a De-baffled one on mine and there's not really any extra power to be had from it

only put mines on today darren and it seems to spool up a bit better but nothing else so stevo if you can get it done cheep do if not a would leave it

I think it's more that you can hear it spooling that give's the impression that it's spooling quicker

Ok,ive got the use of a tig welder,so i might just chop that section out,and weld a new bit in me thinks..
