Boot doesn't lock sometimes

Even after good slamming the boot doesn't lock - as indicated by the dash warning light. I get out and find that it's still open. Any ideas as to why and how to sort it out would be appreciated.

i had this problem, it was the white plastic solenoid sticking. you have to take of the plastic cover from inside boot, and you'll see mechanism. maybe wd40, to free up ,then grease it

Nathal, do you mean the solid plastic covering the gold colourd catch or unscrewing the plastic panel covering the whole mechanism?

make sure the striker is fixed secure too

the whole black plastic cover. there arout 10 screws, then it comes off.
