STOKE ON TRENT
hi guys im on my lunch at work n was wandring if any1 can shed some light on how to get the trim off the inside of the bootlid!! I think the washer pipe has popped off the motor as its not squirting.

cheers

its a case of removing the two torx screws in the handles, and pullin, as gently and firmly as possible.

I found this extremely awkward and quite painful!! so i got the dealer to do it!! :p

Undo the two screws in the boot handles. Remove the light bulb access covers.
I'd also remove the two boot light clusters by the 3 nuts. With the lights removed this will give you access to some of the boot cover clips. You can prise some out carefully with a screwdriver. Once loose grab the boot cover by the top of the wiper and pull hard but careful not to crack the trim. Should come off easier. While thats off you might want to grease up the boot locking mech. Might as well now it's off and check your washer pipes are connected.

Any tips for refitting the trim?! I took mine off because the boot catch was lose but now struggling to get the bl00dy thing back on without breaking it.

Rain has stopped play now so it may have to stay off for a couple of days.

From one of my previous posts:

For trim replacement it's easier with 2 people. I used electrician tape to mark on the opposite side of where each clip is. Open the boot and start at the bottom, loosely place the lower part of the trim over the boot/bumper catch and get into the boot. Have someone on the outside close the boot lid down till it's nearly shut and to keep the force gently applied as your about to push against it. From inside the boot go to the top of the trim, line it up and thump the electrician tape where the clips are. If your lucky they should connect and start to firm up the trim. Now work your way down hitting each clip in place until your at the bottom. Having someone hold the boot almost closed will allow you to force the trim on a lot easier than trying to hold the boot closed yourself

well thanks to the very good people at VAGPARTS, my rear wash wipe is now functional again!! and the boot trim is back on without a rattle!!!:D
