Hi, new to the forums, so hope I'm posting correctly.

Anyway, I've got a problem on my Seat Toledo SE TDI (2000) in that I can't get the boot to unlock. It was working fine until today and now I can't get it to unlock.

I've tried the remote, the button on the driver's door and also manually using the key in the boot lock (following the instructions in the manual). None of these methods work. I've also tried to check some fuses, but can't find any blown.

Any suggestions on what to try next would be very welcome as right now I've no idea and I'm contemplating having to access the boot by folding down the back seat. Obviously not ideal.

Thanks.

Problem solved!! Had to call the RAC out today to replace my battery & he checked the boot out. Nothing to do with the handle mechanism breaking or the keyhole being in the wrong position, the solenoid in the mechanism had simply gotten stuck!! Bit of WD-40 on the solenoid & it's right as rain!

Many thanks for your help, just thought i'd let you know the solution to my problem!
