Bose Speakers

Hi all,

My car has the standard speakers that came with the Exeo.

Is it worth upgrading to bose speakers/ is there a significant sound improvement?

Is it a case of pulling off the door interior and easy pull out of old and switch to new?

You need the amp and sound processor as well. You'd be better investing in something like Pioneer/Kenwood speakers at a fraction of the cost and they will transform the sound of your hifi

Would the Bose sounds processor be in a bose amp unit that sits in the boot?

How much would the pioneer/kenwood speakers cost - and would they give better sounds than the Bose speakers with Bose amp (have been offered a Bose speaker + amp second hand) ?

You are right there, the amp unit sits in a compartment in the right side of the boot space. When (if) the rain stops (!) i'll take some photos and hopefully put them on here for you.

The sound is better than in the audi we have in work but with my rns-e unit it also depends to some extend on the source of the music and how is was recorded (eg when I use my sd cards as opposed to the ipod unit or aux in that my daughter uses).

So would you say the sound is a little better or alot better than the audi ?

Also is the sound processor you mention part of the amp?

Bose sound package is fantastic upgrade, However if it didn't come with your car as standard i really wouldn't bother with the ball ache... Much easier to just get an audio specialist (if your not savvy) to wire in amplifiers and aftermarket speakers/sub

on the bose website there is a picture of the exeo saloon with each individual component it utilises, you could shop around and see if they are the same as the audi parts and if its worth doing, the bose absolutley makes the car and everyone who gets in comments on it

Hi pal,

One of the main reasons i bought my exeo it's because of Bose. The sound is absolutely mind blowing, and the bass makes the car rattle, if the volume is full on, i have to move my leg from the side door as i can feel the vibrations and it makes me laugh haha! It's an option I will always recommend on any car, is to upgrade the sound system as it's 100% worth it. ( My opinion ofc + i love music.)
