BOV just before inlet manifold?

Hi just been browsing on youtube and came across this. Seems like a way off having a bov on the ibiza engine. Just wondered if this would work or would cause faults. Might be a way of having a loud bov as alot of people would like?

I just thought a wonder if anyone else has done it before on here. Ive looked through loads of BOV threads on here when i first got my cupra but ive never seen this before. Just interested if people would think it might work.

Mine sounded louder with an open cone filter than that did on the video!!

That might just be because of the type of BOV he is using on it tho...

that is just like fitting a dv relocation kit.. its the same feed just after the intercooler instead of before...supposedly cold air is better in the dv...but the purpose is to recirculate the cold charge not dump it into the atmosphere

what im saying is it makes no difference fitting a blow off valve there than in the standard position

and it will just play up eventually

Im not looking for a way to fit one im perfectly happy with mine as it is, was just querying the video as its something different to what i have seen before.

that bov sounded well :gay: admittedly i have a gfb hybrid bov on my car and a cone filter sounds much better, and my bov doesnt play up! if it does eventually, will just put it to fully re-circ (3 in 1 valve) and ave me cone filter.

as said that's just a relocated dv...forge sell kits to do this and many people have done this. but its not really very beneficial if at all.

i also reckon that sounds abit pants, think mine sounds lots better

Yeh i'm intrigued as to how they plan on doing it. Thought at 1st that i'd be interested in one but the more i think about it the more i have doubts.

Well i suppose we will have to wait and see, but after reading the treads on why the atmospheric ones wont work am very interested on seeing how it will work. Will it be like a twin chamber on where a % ir recirculated and a % vented.

doesnt work but those wheels do look alot like the ones ive got on mine

That looks similar to the one fitted to mine when i bought the car similar set up as well turbo smart D,V adjustable but does not work.Caused me hell as i was not aware of the atmospheric valve and 1.8t engines problems.Took Seat about a month to find out the problem.
