yes they were'nt too bad tbh, the most fiddly part was getting the plastic panel on the boot lid on and off lol.

Why would you need to take the plastic boot lid panel off?

You do know the brake lights are in the outer light clusters right?

It all went abit quiet because I was working away tuesday and stayed out over night.
Yes I do no my brake lights from my sidelights.....Sidelights are working fine.

I took the whole units out to have a good look and see if water had been getting in when had changed the bulbs and they still didnt work.....So thats why I took the panel off.

Me too.

Just trying to clarify you know the brake lights are in the outer lamps and you need to pop the clusters out, two torx screws and a push clip at the corner.

Only if its showing a white light.

Cheers mate, Its only the clear outer lense thats broken and not the actual pods that house the bulbs.

I'll still need to get a new cluster though as Im selling the car when its mot'd....I just dont need to have one in place for monday now :)

Right its my turn to ask for help, I've just discovered that the high level brake light on my wife's Polo 9N has stopped working - low level brake lights still work okay. Any pointers before I start ripping the tailgate covers off? Ta! (thumping it made no difference!!)
