Right they have taken it to swap the front disk and pads and to inspect the caliper and see if anything could cause this!?

I think I'd be kicking off to get both disks replaced. Disks should always be replaced as a pair. The dealer or Seat will have a claim against the manufacturer of the pad (or caliper if that's what caused the failure) and will probably claim for the damaged disk also. Even though its only done 180 miles I think there is still an argument to have them both replaced together.

If it was caused my a manufacturing defect in the batch of pads then your other pads could also be at risk of the same failure.

They took it this morning at 8:15 and at 12pm i got it back with the brakes replaced.

ECU update too apparently.

Im writing a letter of complaint to SEAT UK on this though, i dont feel the dealers are at fault here as the car was sound when i got it but there is clearly a fault here that in the wrong circumstances could easily cost someone there life.

Am i right in saying SEAT UK, Yeomans Drive, Blakelands, Milton Keynes. MK14 5AN is the address to send it to.

What are you going to complain about? That manufacturing defects were corrected quickly, promptly & upon request.

Save your stamp for when you have an actual problem

Yeah the brake pad falls apart on what is a performance car on a dual carridge way leaving me one front brake, No big deal right!

Oh they fixed it how good of them.

Thats just not the way it works for me having spent 15k of my hard earned cash on this car to have it majorly disintergrate a vital part after 3 days with only four hundred miles of gentle driving, to not even get an apology at all.

I could go on but ill save it for the letter.
