Hello,

By cleaning my car last week (Leon VZ 300) I noticed both of the front brake disk are scratched, and it feel pretty deep.
I did 1 track day back in september, but the disks were looking good until last month.

I asked my dealership, they said I should change both pad & disk in max 5000km (the car have 7500km at the moment).

I'm planning to do 3-4 track day this year, would it make sens to pay more for a higher quality/durability ? Any recommandation for brake disk & pad ? Brembo ?
Or will it just gives me better performance on track ? I'm riding for fun, not looking for the best performance.

Pagid RS26s RSL29s are go to pads for Track work.

Correction to my earlier post.

Pagid RSL29s are a go to track pad.

NB> Part No is for a big brake kit on an FK8 Civic Type R.


The above said I've used Ferodo DS2500s as a fast road (light track) pads for 20+ years in a variety of tuned VAG cars to good effect, covering c. 18-20,000 road miles per annum at the time.

Seems that DS2500 is the way to go !

By checking the reference, it seems that the one compatible with my car is the FCP1334H (DS2500), but it's marked as "non homologated for road" on the webshop of the part resseler :/

There is another reference which is homologated : FDS1334

And what about the disk, is it worth upgrading them or the OEM part is enough and will works good with those pads ?

^^^^ You're OEM discs are drilled / ventilated so ought to be up to the job. I've stuck with OEM discs in the past.

Point to consider is how worn the discs are. There's no point in putting new pads in, if your discs are only going to be good for a further, say, 5k miles.

indeed, I will change disk for sure with the new pad, was just wondering if it's worth to change the model or to take a new set of OEM disks
Dealership said max 5000km or before the next trackday :D

Hi guys again me, I was going to order the pad and disks, but then got completely confused

According to Brembo, ferodo and online shops, my car is referenced with 340mm front disk diameter, but the technical sheet of the car is saying 357mm.

I did my homework and it seems that the Leon FL is now coming with 357mm front disk shared with S3 and Golf R, all the online catalogue are incorrect then for the Leon FL.

I could finally find the ref for the disk (no aftermarket available, only OEM : P/N 5WA615301J ), I'm confident with that one but not the pads.

Does someone has already ordered Ferodo pad for Leon FL ?
FCP5358h are the one for Golf R/Audi S3, does my car share the same brake calliper and those pad will be compatible ?
