Model Year 20/21 Brakes won't release, due to parking sensors?

Hello everyone

I have a Formentor VZ 310hp, 2021 plate, limited edition.

After parking close to my garage the car will now not release the brakes to allow me to reverse out. I pop it into reverse and the parking assist shows four red at the front (I'm up against the garage) but there is nothing behind me. It will not release the brakes and just rocks as she tries to pull off, then reduces the throttle.

I can't move.

Any and all ideas welcome.

I love the car but the faults seem to be regular, particularly when it is cold..... I'm one more fault away from changing and I really don't want to.

Many thanks

Thank you.
I think the handbrake is releasing, as when I put it on again I can feel it depressing the brake pedal. The light also goes off on the switch
I have the audible warning tone due to the close parking and that seems to be overriding everything - I've even taken the fuse out for park assist but with no joy
A bit lost really
How can I check my software?
Much appreciated

Hi Sandy,

Sometimes, cleaning the sensors is all that is required to resume normal operation when the system goes into bleat mode.

I defer to EY Retro's superior knowledge but sometimes it's the simple things that can solve it.

Have you tried closing the sensor screen to turn off the bleeping with the cross in the corner to see if that makes any difference?
