Broken Gearbox

Hi Guys,

Didn't really want this to be my first post, but looks like it's gonna be...

Bought a Seat Arosa 1.4 16V Sport W reg about 5 weeks ago, and last night whilst driving, I seem to have lost 4th Gear!! Spoke to a garage today and they seem to think it's the gearbox.

Has anyone got any recommendations for places to get a replacement gearbox? Or roughly how much it'd cost to get replaced?

Any info would be great.

Thanks..that's what I'm doing....got to find a gearbox now and rebuild it as all the gears have now gone

how about an exchange one from a dealers that will come with a years warranty

Bet they cost a fortune though!!

1500 pounds, i do know you can buy the parts to replace it cogs etc but its not an easy job, check your gear box code as a lupo one may fit

That sounds like a friday night car to me, deffo! Only 5 weeks, i bet your so gutted, I know I would be.

A good breaker yard to try would be Motors in Motion but they arn't cheap i'll warn you.
