I bought a custom made subframe which uses the same mechanism as the standard seats to. I then attached the left hand lap belt to the original point that the seat belt clicker does.
If I had it as a track car though it would be bolted onto something... Then the belt would just have to go through the exhaust well with a few cm's of plating.

did your custom mountss start life as a specific model mount or was it a completly new fabrication?
am i right in saying i can fix the right hand side to existing seat belt mount at the bottom and then i'd just have to weld in a bolt plate to the underside of the trans tunnel and bolt to that?
i've gone for corbeau pro series buckets they are nice fit and comfy to. i'm getting side mounts so just need to work out how to fix them down really, may ask corbeau direct if they do a subframe for the ibiza or one that will fit.
The only other way i can see of doing it is to weld in 2 bars and mount it to them, like some others have done.
They are just standard mounts from the Ibiza and then welded onto a frame that fits a normal bottom mounted seat.
Yes the right hand harness can just bolt into the original hole as can the 2 rears. Just the left hand one is a bit more tricky.
Have a look on cuprabaz's thread he has a stripped out Ibiza. As do a few others...
Not at all really. Lower really! Probably just the buckets making it feel lower but defiantly lower than standard.
