What's the best way of fitting bucket seats to the mk3 cupra? Do I need to get a subframes to be able to bolt them in? I've got a set of recaros to fit, but I'm not sure about fitting it... Any help is appreciated!

Any addtional info? About subframes, about what type of bucket seat to look for..

Anything you like really I know with side mount seats that they can sit a little high but if you get bottom mount they should be fine

The best way to fit bucket seats into your car will depend on how the car is used, and by whom. If you need to be able to adjust the seats back and forth, then sub-frames are probably your best bet. Bear in mind that many MOT testers will refuse to grant your car a pass if the drivers seat cannot be adjusted, so you may have to find a sympathetic tester if you go that route. You can get sliders to use with sub-frames to get over this problem.

I have OMP bucket seats on matching sub-frames in two of my (mk2) Ibizas. I found the seating position too high, and I have now modified them to address this. Side mounts will allow you to mount the seat at a height and angle that suits you, but adjustment to suit another driver is not a straightforward task. As mentioned above, this may cause issues at MOT time. Brackets welded into place are perfect for competition cars, that is what I have in my Ibiza Super 6. It will give you no option for subsequent adjustment, and might be awkward if you still have carpets.

Bear in mind too that the inboard seatbelt mounting attaches to the front seat, so if you change the seats you will have to find a way to adapt seatbelt receivers, if the standard ones are not suitable. I changed mine for mk2 Golf centre rear items.

Hope this helps.

The best way is to weld plates onto the tunnel and outer chassis and bars across then bolt the seat mounts to the bars.
I will need to fit a bucket seat once I have that harness bar from you baz! I will see how you have done yours and probably just do mine the same :)
