If it's 19 they may be getting cancellation from me was told 12 at most. Can you get deposits back from personal lease ..... is it breach if contract ?

If an extra 7 week wait means that you no longer want your car then you've bought the wrong car...

Waiting lists are 18 months for a new focus RS, yes it's frustrating but if you're prepared to walk away I'd be seriously thinking about whether it's the car for you anyway...

Chuggs, 2 things.

If you cancel will you find a replacement that will get to you before the leon would anyway

2nd thing got mine yesterday. It's worth the wait!!!

I'd be waiting for it time flys past anyway. I was told I would have mine middle of October and now its November, been without a car for 2 weeks now since the focus ST went back. Never done so much walking ha

No doubt it's worth it and probably will .... I'm just frustrated at the lack of information or misinformation ..... I will need to plan transport etc. Grrrrrrr

I created that thread, its where all us leasers hang out ;)

So you started that one and I started this one!

I'll have to re-register as I can't remember my old password and the linked email is dead too.
If I were to post with that one, I'd get blasted for being a lurker though, as is the PS tradition.

True mate, it's pretty much the only thread I contribute too, sometimes if I need some help in the homes section on diy I'll get a response, anything in "general gassing" and you get flamed, told your an idiot or generally abused if your less thank 10k posts haha

I sent an email to my dealer yesterday mentioning the Dynamic grey cancellations ive read about on here etc...

Hes had a chat with Seat and the order is still good but it will be late Nov/early Dec before I get my hands on it, and Dynamic Grey is still ok for my order NOT!. (see edit below!)

Yep, longer wait but im not too fussed. The car will be worth it, its ages since I did a test drive though!!! :funk:

EDIT: LOL spoke too soon, got a call and the order is now Nevada White, ah well! :) By the sounds of it theres not much difference. I wasn't too fussed with the news so the dealer guy sounded quite surprised how non-bothered I was as he must have been expecting a bo**ocking.

Phoned up the seat dealership where its being delivered to and he didn't fill me with much optimism. :(

My build week is this week (ordered end of aug), but the guy said ''oooooh late November/December delivery'' :-o

I really need to stop looking at youtube vids/reviews etc etc etc

finally got mine this morning, chuffed to bits with it!!

well worth the 15 week wait

I am so frigging jealous! Update us on how it goes! How does it drive? Is it as fast as you expected ? But more importantly, does it burble from lifting off at 4k?

P.s some more pictures won't hurt

I agree that some cars like the rs have a long lead time, it is frustrating that when placing an order you are given a timescale that then seems to be contining to slide. I had my order accepted by the factory on the 1st Aug, still no confirmed build slot so no info on eta. Luckily gone through local dealer who are trying to get Seat to loan me a car as my current car goes back end of Oct and i need a car for work.

Nice to see a few more coming through, the Red is growing on me, still liking the dynamic, and I'm still taking random pics

Every time I get relaxed about getting the car, another picture appears and makes me desperate!

drive brilliantly, having a little trouble adjusting to the clutch, mainly down to the fact that the clutch is so light compared to my 15 year old GTI! defiantly feels quicker than the test car i drove, but they may be down to the fact i'm running 99ron and a piper cross panel, probably just physiological though still getting used to how it pulls, because it pulls HARD! but likes to wander off to the side if you don't correct it, only when you're really on it in 2nd and 3rd.

Will update on photos when i take some more, too busy having way too much fun at the moment

Nice, Nevada White or DG?

Nevada white bud, had the option of DG 15 weeks ago, just couldn't grow to like it as much as the Nevada White, DG looks great in the right lighting, but changes to a weird greeny grey, don't get me wrong, i love it, and i wouldn't be disappointed if i had choose it, but i wanted something that i could look at and not have seconds thoughts :)

So after 'politely' asking Craig at CVL to progress the order with the dealership, who I now know to be DM Keith in York (it seems he didn't believe me that I knew the build date, the boat it came in on and the date the transportation order was raised for to go to the dealers) my VWFS forms have been emailed as my 290 now has its reg. allocated.
One thing I did notice was that the excess mileage charge was 6.98p but was 6p when I signed my papers with CVL back in July.
I can't work out if its 6.98p inc. VAT or ex.VAT - I know it sounds trivial, but if I were to go over by 4000 miles then it adds £47 overall.

A chap on the PH forum said his docs showed a 8.3ppm excess so I think the 6.98 you have got will be plus VAT. This seems to be happening to everyone who is getting their docs so I will be checking carefully when I get mine!
