So is your answer the only one that counts? , i asked peoples opinion on buying a car with outstanding finance and you gave me your opinion and reasons for that opinion which is fair enough. But what i dont want is someone to come on and say i cant afford a new car and that i shouldnt be selling it. the only one who has came across arrogant in this thread is you.

I have sold cars that have outstanding finance.

All you need to do in the advert is just say

"The Car has outstanding finance that will cleared with the funds from the sale of the car, on the day of collection buy or with the buyer.

Information on finance company and agreement number will be provided to serious buyers only."

If you pay it off it takes 4-6 weeks to reflect on the HPI as with credit scores they update the systems once a month.

Its not such as big deal but I understand why people can be scared of it. Some people are not very honest.

Just be totally upfront and then the buyer will trust you.
