Cabin temperature

Noticed that recently the climate control doesn't get the cabin up to the temp selected, eg temp on dials 20 deg, actual temp measured by thermometer 15deg. Heater will put out hot air ok but turns to cool air way short of required temp. Temp sensor fault ? Where is it located ?

There should be a temp sensor in each vent nearest the door pillar. If you look into the vent with a torch you can usually see it.

Or - it's a potential blocked heater matrix, Is the temp similar on both sides or `cooler` on the drivers side?

Thanks both. Just found a workshop manual that says there's one in each vent and one in the footwell vent too.

Feels similar both sides but the centre two vents push out cold air when the side ones and footwell are warm ? This is with Auto selected. I'm going to try measuring using Inside/Outside digital thermometer with a probe to stick in vent whilst also measuring cabin temp.

This is the same problem I’ve experienced in my previous FR150 ST and my current Cupar ST - just as the cabin gets to a “nice” temperature then the Air Care Clima System starts pumping out freezing cold air (see my post below!) For me this is a design fault as you cannot switch this system off and somewhat embarrassing as my passengers then feel cold and uncomfortable during the journey 🤬👎☹️
