Oops forgot to ask on my earlier post - When's the first cam belt change due? My 1.4s is almost 6 years old and has done 50,ooo miles. I gather from other threads that it's a good thing to change the water pump at the same time - and some say to change it for one with metal impellers.

Any thoughts/advice please on timings and costings appreciated.

60k mate. or 5 years i believe.

indeed although it seems to be the leons usually with the waterpump impellor problems, i think its something to do with us having AYP engines and they do not.
