cambelt aparently needing changing

Sorry to jump in opn this thread, but i have a mate who does all of my mechanical work. and he checked with the SEAT guys of his company and their guy said my cambelt was not due till 100K or there abouts?

Now im reading 4 years and 60k? i just took it as gosoel as this guy works for SEAT as a mechanic!

my car is a cupra and its got 35k on an 04 plate should i be getting this changed at its next service, in march?

again, apologies to butt in on this, but I thought I was safe for a long time yet!

no worries! I thought i was safe till atleast 60K but now the 4 years has come round i'd rather be safe then sorry!!
can anyone verify?!!!!

I've been thinking about getting mine changed just for piece of mind but looked in service book and say's it was done about 15,000 miles ago at 91,000. There is no record of it being done before this or of the water pump being changed to a metel impellor one. Is there any visual checks that can be done on the water pump to see if it has been?
