I am currently looking to buy an alhambra diesel for up to £8000. The choice is vast but i think i have nailed it down. The only thing bothering me is the cambelt service intervals. I have read that they are either 40,000 or 80,000 miles depending on age / engine power. Obviously i would like to buy one which will do 80,000 without change but this would also affect what sort of milage i would look to buy. If anyone could let me know what year and power has the 80,000 mile interval i would be eternally grateful. ( i am looking at 2004/2005 models)
Hi,
I have just joined the forums and this thread caught my eye as it was in my mind when buying my Alhambra recently.
Mine has the 130 engine and the belt & tensioner should be replaced every 60k.
However my previous was a VW Sharan with the 115 motor and that needed the belt changed every 40k.
So it is probably best to check the manual when you are looking at a car.
