Every 4 years or 60,000 miles whichever comes first, oh and get the extra small roller changed as it is missed out of the VAG cambelt kit for these engines - and they do fail it seems. Also if you feel like playing safe add changing the water pump while they are in there.
I spoke to a dealer about cam belts for the 20V 1.8T engine - apparently the service system is now set up so that it only calls up belt at the 60k interval and the small rollers and belt tensioner at 120k intervals. But then - how much faith do you have in dealer networks??
