rite ok wonder if any one has any ides

yesturday we changed the passenger track rod end now there is a funny noise when u hit about 25 - 30 miles a hour the noise is hard to explain like a whoo whoo whooo noise ( really hard to explain ) i think my shock may have collapsed or very near as it is leaking loads would this cause it ?
any help greatfully receaved

the steering feels really really bad as well would it be worth going and having it tracked first before i have anythin else done ?

tracking could well be out of alignment then

well you will have both the front wheels trying to pull the car in differance ways..... get the tracking sorted 1s! and go from there

Thanks for the replies now I háček the problem that no where can get he on the ramps or fit the tracking thing on cuz she is to low

Probably tracking. A good tracking place will have ramps set into the floor.

most likely tracking kezz, if your gonna get coilies, just wait until you put them on, cos when you drop it, get tracking and camber done properly, so its all cushy

It will ruin wheel bearings if its too far out so do it before driving too much.

think we are gonna get the standards back on for now and go and get it tracked

For now you could try and make it a bit better by eye I guess. Put the steering straight ahead and wind in or out the track rod till the wheel looks straight.

mike's idea sounds good, or adjust the new one to the exact same as the old one? (make same length/position of nut) then shove on

just changed no 2 and the wheel bolt snaps what a day

yea stu managed to drill it out but it meant i couldnt get the tracking done untill tomorrow now

standard suspension? it's only for a few days kezz
