Can both parts of the rear sets fold down?

I was told today by the dealership in Southampton that the rear seats in the leon can't fold down. By this i mean the horizontal part is this true? The vertical part moves but neither i nor the dealer could get the lateral part to budge. Is there a mod to get this to happen? I saw this post: http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/showthread.php?t=142016&highlight=rear+seats but it doesn't clarify if this is possible.

or do you mean the actual bench which you sit on??

i dont have a MKII. But there have been threads before saying that you cant fold down the lower section of the rear seats.

wouldn't of thought it possible with isofix points.

I don't think the bench moves sorry.

To be honest I don't think it does on that many cars. I've always had hatchbacks and I think it only moved on of them.

Yeah its the bench or also known as the bit you sit on. If anyone knows how to remove/ mod the bench please let me know

You can, I did it a few weeks back, just can't remember how or if it went far enough for the back part of the seat to lie flat.

The back part of the seat folds down pretty flat. Without needing to touch the bench part.
Mine spend most of their time down.

the rear seat bench (the bit you sit on) can come out. You just need to pull sharply upwards with it. It's just clipped in. I removed mine to hide audio cables under it. then just thump it down to get it back in
