Can Gateway replacement guide?

Hi,

Has anybody got a guide to replacing the Can Gateway? I've seen a guide on how to replace it on an mk5 r32 and from what I have researched its very similar, but I was after a specific guide for the Leon.

Well I spent most of the day replacing the Can Gateway, and what a pain in the balls it was.

The r32 guide worked for me, but the massive issue I had was with the wiper scuttle at the bottom of the windscreen. It was glued to the windscreen so made it very hard to do anything behind the engine firewall, it resulted in me having to remove the wiper motor between a few inch gap and do most of the replacement between the small gap.

I'm looking at taking this on in my 06 plate Altea, I understand mine is behind my glove box and a lot easier to do. How easy was it to do the coding and did you have to turn anything extra on, or is it a case of just replicating what you have?
