Can I firmware update my MFD2 to play DVD?

Sorry I'm new to this site but have been a vag tdPD lover for years .
After lots of searching & only finding MFD3 stuff ,I'm tying to find a firmware update so I can play DVDs on my MFD2 ,
I'm not the sort of waister to not do a good search B4 asking and seem to find loads of Ppl saying it can be done but they don't say how .
Any help (or good link I've missed )would be most apprecated.
PS my car is a 2007 FR 170 pd - and I love it

Help updating my MFD2

I thought they played DVD's anyway and the hack was to enable playback whilst driving or backup DVD's?

No mine not , I think its just MFD3s that playback DVDs or maybe later MFD2s that would have came with the updated firmwear .

I have 2.1 on mine and Cant play dvd. Should i be able to?

The only reason I've asked is cos I found something on google saying there is a patch for it that makes DVDs playable , the only down side being the pixelation of the MFD2 is not all that.
I will keep reading
Duz any body know if there is a plug in DVD system that will run through it
