can I heat the bolt on an ABS sensor?

Right so I bought a replacement ABS sensor today but I cannot get the retaining bolt to budge. Given that the actual sensor is plastic, is it safe to use a torch on the bolt to heat it in an attempt to loosen it?

Bit close to bearings? I'd keep trying with WD40 / penetrating fluid

mmm I was worried it may be a bit close to some non-metal or non heat tolerant parts. I've sprayed plusgas on it but it just won't hear about it. Thanks anyway, all I can do is keep trying then

Wire brush it and then PLUSGAS it.. Done mine last month on the front, came off a treat..

Thanks rodders, mine are 12 years old and seem to be rusted to bits but I'll try some more plusgas and my trusty wire brush I take it I won't have to have the light reset once I have changed it, the light goes off periodically on it's own.
