Hey, recently my clutch started slipping
Few garages know well this car and transmission but it's very expensive
So in attempt to lower the price, I'm looking for new clutch kit trough eBay, Amazon or etc...
I couldn't find the right kit for my Leon
I hope someone here know where can I find it and help me...

All I know its a 240mm clutch unlike the 5 gear that is 228mm

Seat Leon 2005 1.8 20VT

Engine code: AUQ
6 Gear manual transmission
Originally 180 BHP, I guess right now it's about 230 BHP (original clutch kit will be enough)

I will be extremely grateful for helping me finding the matching kit!!

Beware if you buy from Techniclutch. They advertise prominently on ebay. Whilst they call themselves 'Clutch Specialists' and their prices are decent, they struggle with getting the basics right.

Today I returned a kit I bought from them for my mk 1 Leon TDI 150 (ARL). They'd supplied the right clutch, pressure plate and slave cylinder... and the flywheel for a 2.0 TDI. They are very similar - MM out, but different and are not compatible with 1.9 clutches. An easy mistake? Maybe so, but according to their computers they are all compatible with one another ... Nope.

It's cost me a mechanic to remove existing box and find out the error then put it all back together, a mechanic to put the new one on, and £36 in juice to trek over to Blackpool to swap flywheels.

Lesson learnt? Sure, but I'd enquired about the part numbers for the kit they were supplying for the car, and given full details of make/year/model/engine and reg number, and their reply was (and I quote) "Thank you for your enquiry, the item you have enquired over is 100% correct for your vehicle."

Wrong.

Do your research, get the part numbers you need (from forum/internet) and ask the supplier to give you part numbers of whatever you are buying. Because Techniclutch wouldn't give me the part numbers and insisted the kit was 100% right, I thought 'they know best' and it bit me on the ass.

Lesson learned...
